TripAdvisor
Collaborative platform where travelers leave their opinions about tours, restaurants and hotels. I like to use it to find out what to do at my destination, as well as which companies to prefer or avoid when booking tours.
doubts
Do you want to ask questions from someone who already knows your destination? Then use dubbi, a forum by travelers for travelers! Ask a question and receive tips from experienced people who have been in your situation. He has post about here on the blog.
How much does it cost to travel
You enter your destination, and this site calculates the average price of air tickets, accommodation and food, and tours. You can provide the trip duration and style (backpacker, luxury, etc.) and receive a total cost estimate.
SygicTravel
My favorite site for creating travel itineraries. With it, you can insert tours on an interactive map, to create your itinerary, day by day. There is a detailed post with video showing how to use the simplest functions.
Rome2Rio
Don't know how to get to another city or country? Rome2Rio shows you the transport options, from plane to bus, train, ferry or car. Great for those who are traveling to Europe and want to visit several destinations.
AccuWeather
Website that provides weather forecasts around the world. It has a history from previous years, so you can check what the temperature was at your destination at the time of your trip, so you can pack your suitcase accordingly.

Promo Tickets
With up to 25% discount on some destinations, Passagens Promo offers differentiated fares for companies such as LATAM, Gol, Avianca, Azul and even international companies such as Delta and AirFrance. It also offers payment in up to 10 interest-free installments via credit card or bank transfer.
MaxMiles
With a different proposal, MaxMilhas “buys” miles from other travelers and uses them to issue your ticket. All payments are made securely through the website, and prices are much cheaper! I've already saved almost 50% on two occasions by purchasing there!
Kayak
Kayak compares prices for tickets, hotels and car rentals. In the tests I did for the post where to buy cheap airline tickets, it found the smallest value every time. It doesn't make the sale, it just shows the rates from several different websites.
Sleeping in Airports
If your flight has a long connection, this site is for you. All airports in the world classified by comfort level, with tips such as the best chairs to sleep in, wifi password and where to get the best coffee.
Seat Guru
A website created to gather airplane seat reviews! Just enter the airline and the flight number, and you can find out which seat is best. It also has information such as leg space, room to store suitcases, whether it is close to emergency exits and whether the seat reclines.

How about renting an entire apartment instead of just a hotel room? On this platform you deal directly with places that rent entire properties or part of them, such as one or two bedrooms. Ideal for those traveling in larger groups or those looking to save money, as most accommodations have a full kitchen.

WePlann
Don't waste time in lines, and buy tickets for the main attractions around the world with WePlann. It is possible to pay in reais, in installments and without the IOF fee! The company also offers tours in several cities, with transport and Portuguese-speaking guides!
Car rental

Compare the price between the best-known rental companies, such as Hertz, Alamo and Localiza. By booking through the website you pay in reais and avoid the IOF fee, receive a discount if you pay by bank slip and can pay in up to 12 installments on Visa or Master cards.

My first option to convert money or get a prepaid international card. They currently work with Cash Passport, which accepts up to six different currencies on the same card. It is possible to top up in person, online or even via the app.

Lonely Planet
Perhaps the most well-known guides today, I like the Lonely Planet versions as they are frequently updated. The main destinations are translated into Portuguese, but there are many others in English if you know the language. There are regular and pocket size versions, to take with you during your trip.
Publifolha
I'm passionate about visual guides, with maps, photos and incredible tips. It has editions about the main destinations visited by Brazilians, with tips on where to stay, what to visit and where to eat, all illustrated to make you want to pack your bags and leave while you're reading.
Apps
Google Maps
I use it to create itineraries, but mainly so I don't get lost during the trip. With it I can know how to get from one point to another on foot, which bus or subway to take, which station to get off at and even the estimated price of Uber. There is a post showing the main functions.
foursquare
It works like a “city guide”, where you can find things to do, clubs, and places to eat. I always go there when I'm hungry and don't know which restaurants are good in the area. I also like leaving reviews to help other travelers.
My disney experience
Essential for anyone visiting Walt Disney World in Orlando. Used to make reservations at restaurants, schedule fast pass, see the photos of memory maker, find out the queue time for each attraction, show times and more. Don't go to Disney without downloading!
Google Translator
You can't travel without a translation app, right? The Google one was the first one I installed and I never felt the need for another one. It can be used offline, it explains the meaning of words in addition to the literal translation, and it is even possible to use the camera to understand signs or other signs.
Uber
Private driver app, cheaper than taxi service. The drivers are well trained, the race route is defined by Waze and you can pay with a credit card. Sign up through the blog link to get a discount on your first race!
Duolingo
Do you already know your next destination and want to learn a little of the language before you go? Try Duolingo, an app that will teach you grammar, simple sentences and lots of vocabulary. It's one of my favorite options for learning English for travel.
Universal Doctor Speaker
It is a kind of translator for medical situations. You can choose the language of the patient, the doctor, and the app provides phrases like “I'm in a lot of pain","I need an ambulance", etc. Works offline.
Google Calendar
Best option I found to find out local holidays. With a database from more than 50 countries, you are not surprised when you go out on the street and see all the stores closed, as I have done several times, lol.
