How to plan a trip to Santiago de Chile
Discover how to plan a trip to Santiago de Chile. Tips on documentation, accommodation, transportation, food, best tours and more!
The trip to Chile was the first since I created the blog that I didn't go with the aim of creating content. Things went wrong before I even left home, and my company couldn't go anymore, there was no money left to visit Atacama and so I decided to just travel and relax.
Even so, after spending almost ten days in Santiago, I couldn't go back home and not write a little about this incredible city. The tours are super cool and, despite being an expensive city by South American standards, several of the best tours are cheap or even free, as I showed in this post.
One of the things I liked most about Chile's capital, however, was the number of hostels and accommodations at great prices. I chose to divide the trip into two parts, one at the Rado Boutique Hostel and another in Providencia Hostal. Both were great and the service was incredible, but I confess that I preferred the first one because it was a boutique hostel and the incredible rooftop. There's a full review of my experience at Rado here on the blog.
If you are still starting to plan your trip, I recommend reading my post with all the tips for traveling to Santiago. In it I explain documentation, airline tickets, how long to stay in the city, accommodation, transport and much more. Everything is well detailed so you don't have any doubts and can enjoy your trip to the fullest!
Lastly, I can't help but remind you of take out travel insurance! In addition to offering medical assistance if you become ill, the insurance can also cover accidents in extreme activities, such as skiing and snowboarding, which is something super cool to do in Chile in winter! To ensure that you will be protected in any eventuality, take out your insurance and travel without worries!
