Don't know where to find cheap air tickets? So check out this post with 8 sites that will help you travel the world cheaply!
For me, the worst part of planning a trip is buying plane tickets. There are abusive cancellation fees, high prices, little time between connections, and several other problems that may arise along the way.
Not to mention the prices! With the rise in the dollar, the values are absurd, especially for those who are already in the habit of traveling and remember the values from a few years ago.
Combining this price increase with the fact that I I always wait until the last minute to buy everything., it's no surprise that one of the things I do most is look for cheap airline tickets.
And it is the results of these research that I want to share with you today. I've selected my 8 favorite websites for finding plane tickets, the ones where you'll always find the best prices and phenomenal discounts.
I can already say that there is no single winner, sometimes one site can find a better rate, another can find lower prices by using other strategies such as other people's miles. Therefore, I recommend that you always do your research on at least three websites, to ensure that you find the best prices.
In the end, I still chose some destinations to buy the prices found on each of the cheap airline ticket websites. Just to show you how they work in action!
8 Sites to find cheap airline tickets
1. Photo: Passagens Promo/Facebook
On the market for a few years, Passagens Promo is one of the best sites for finding cheap airline tickets! Initially with special offers for national companies such as LATAM, Gol, Avianca and Azul, the company also started to offer competitive prices for foreign companies such as American Airlines, Airfrance and TAP.
In addition to lower prices, another benefit of purchasing your airline tickets on this website is that the purchase can be paid via bank transfer, or pay in up to 10 interest-free installments on your credit card. WhatsApp support works all days of the week, including holidays.
If you are planning a trip, you can take the opportunity to set up an alert, so you receive an email notification when prices get lower.
2. Voopter
One of the best national comparators, as it presents prices from both airline websites and agencies such as CVC and Submarino Viagens. It is possible to compare fares for flights within Brazil and international flights, but for this second case I consider that there are better search engines (I wrote about them below).
Voopter does not sell tickets, and works as an intermediary between the customer and other websites, without charging an additional fee for this.
The great advantage of this search engine, for me, is being able to choose up to four departure and four return dates, making it possible to find the lowest price within that combination. There is also a “destination offers“, which shows promotions on pre-determined dates. For those with flexible dates, this is a great opportunity.
3. MaxMiles
Unlike other sites, MaxMilhas uses miles to buy tickets. The prices offered are not those shown on the airlines' websites, but are calculated based on the value of the miles needed to purchase each leg of the trip.
It seems complicated, but the company takes care of every step of the purchase – you don't have to worry about learning how to use miles or anything like that.
I've already gotten incredible discounts when using the website, like the ticket was R$800 on the company's website. and less than R$400 on MaxMilhas. It's worth checking out before checking out any other site.
If you have accumulated miles, you can also sell them and earn extra money (but check if your points program regulations agree with this practice).
4. Submarine Travel
One of the best options for international destinations, as Submarino Viagens is able to offer exclusive prices, often lower than those displayed on airline websites. More than once I found cheap plane tickets with discounts of almost R$1000!
However, I don't consider it the ideal option for national trips, as Submarino Viagens tends to have higher rates than the companies' websites. aerial. In these cases, I prefer to buy directly from the company that will carry out the flight, as in the case of any problem it is easier to resolve than through an intermediary.
If you haven't booked your accommodation yet, it's also interesting to take a look at the promotional packages. Looking for a round trip flight to Orlando, I got the price of R$2139 with taxes. For the same date, tickets and another 13 nights in a 3-star hotel cost R$2966.

5. Must-see Passes
Despite having a search engine that uses the Viajanet system, the site is much more than a comparison of cheap airline tickets. Its great advantage is announcing the best rates and promotions in real time. If any company. If an airline makes a mistake and offers very low prices or offers a flash discount in secret, you can be sure that the website will announce it.
When the prices are very good, the tickets end up in minutes. The tip to find out about promotions before other travelers is to download the official website app and leave notifications on. Using this trick, I was able to buy tickets to Santiago de Chile round-trip from Florianópolis for R$450 with LATAM, and R$700 round-trip to NEW YORK with Copa Airlines.
Tip: If you live in the United States, a very similar site is Scott Cheap Flights. If you live in Europe, one option is to use the website Secret flying.
6. Skyscanner
My favorite option for searching for international tickets, as you tend to find good prices. It's just a search engine and, when choosing a rate that suits them, the user is redirected to other sites to complete the purchase, without paying anything for it.
The best feature is to search through the calendar, which shows the fares for every day of the month, making it possible to find the dates on which the trip is most affordable. I also like the ability to choose “everywhere” (everywhere) as a destination, ideal for when you just want to travel without spending a lot, without caring about where you are going.
7. finding cheap flights
Despite the simple interface, there are two reasons why I love Google Flights: it displays prices with taxes included, and possibility of choosing several departure and arrival airports. This second one is a great way to find out which combination is cheaper, sometimes with just a few hours on the bus to another city it is possible to save (a lot!) on tickets.
I also really like the option to just put the starting point, and the website shows on the map the different places you can go, and how much the trip to each of them costs. Very useful for national trips or when you are traveling to places with low coast airlines, such as Europe.
It also directs users to other websites, without making direct sales and without charging fees.
8. Kayak
Kayak was not going to participate in this list, because it does not have any functionality that makes it stand out compared to the other nominees. I like that it shows other dates when prices are better, but several other sites also do this.
However, in the next part of the post you will see a comparison between all the sites looking for cheap air tickets to five different destinations. In recent years, Kayak was the clear winner, and every time I updated the prices it always found the cheapest ones. Nowadays it is ok, sometimes some values are lower than others, but in general it is average. I like to include it because sometimes it has unique offers that I don't see anywhere else.
comparisons
Now that you've seen my favorite sites, let me show them in action.
I selected some destinations that I would like to visit to do research: Thailand, Greece, Salvador, Orlando and San Andrés. All other searches were carried out leaving Guarulhos airport, in São Paulo.
Passagens Imperdíveis did not appear in the comparisons because the company's strong point is quick promotions and fare errors, making it not the best site to buy tickets if you have fixed dates or a specific destination in mind.

As I said before, I do not consider that there is the best website. Sometimes we have money to pay in full, it is better to buy the cheapest option, and at other times we prefer to pay a little more to be able to pay in installments. But, for those looking for cheap air tickets, my tip is search on several sites before closing a deal!
And do you use any of these search engines? Do you know another amazing person? Share your experiences in the comments!

Hi Alyssa, how are you?
I also use some tools to search for airline tickets.
The best destinations, in terms of publicity, are the best… and those prices really exist…. I already found and traveled a lot with their tips.
I really like Kayak to compare prices and the tool is good when finding cheaper dates.
The only one I don't like and don't trust is taking off, as I've had problems…. So I never buy from them.
I always buy directly from the airline or travel agency (the price is the same)
I liked the tips.
kisses
Thais – Love and Travel Blog
Hi Thais! I'm glad you liked the tips! It's a shame about your experience with Decolar, I've already used it and didn't really have any problems. And I agree that Melhores Destinos is great for finding deals 😀
I use Google Flights, Skyscanner and Kayak a lot, as well as having the Best Destinations and Must-See Tickets apps…
I don't have the app for Passagens Imperdíveis, I'll download it too 😀 Thanks for the tip!
Your post is very cool! I also do like you, I do a lot of research before buying a plane ticket, why spend more if we can save money, right? But you showed me other sites that I didn't know about and I'll be including them in my next search. Thank you very much for your tips, very valuable!
Always good to save 😀 I’m glad you liked the tips!
I loved the post, I really like Kayak and I also use Skyscanner. Kisses
They're great, right? 😀
I love all these sites! The ones I use most are Decolar and Skyscanner. Not to mention Melhores Destinos (aka the best website in life) that I follow daily on the app! hahaha 🙂
AKA the best website ever that makes me want to travel to all the places they advertise even without having money hahahahaha <3
You didn't mention Edreams. Something against?
Hi Jose! Nothing against it, I just didn't know it yet haha I'll take a look!
What a great post, I loved it! I didn’t know about all these search engines… Thank you!!!!!
Glad you liked it 😀
Of all the ones you listed, the one I use most is Melhores Destinos, which forwards you to another site like Submarino or Viajanet. I find it very useful!
I love it too, even more so with the promotions with incredible prices! <3
That's cool, there were 2 sites there that I didn't know about yet! I generally use Google Flights and Momondo to give you an idea of the real price, but I've already taken advantage of great deals on the best destinations like the flight to San Andres with a stopover in Panama and Bogota for less than a thousand reais!
Wow, how cheap is your flight!! I had already found it cheap in my research, but you surpassed it hahahaha
Post more than favorite <3 Tickets will be more affordable, making a traveler's life much easier!
Glad I could help 😀
I loved the tips, I already left them here in my favorites.
Nothing better than finding that ticket promotion, to a destination that we were already planning or not, right hahah
Very good Alyssa
We find the ticket first and then plan hahahaha <3
I love your roomie tips, I discovered MelhoresDestinos thanks to you last year and I love it ♥
best site <3
Great tips! I didn't know about Momondo, I'm going to add it to my faithful search engines… lol. I always research everyone before buying from airlines!
He's great and has several cool posts with destination suggestions!! 😀
I didn't know about kaiak but now I'm going to look into it first hahahaha! Great post!!! Very good for planning an international trip!
Hahaha, it's a success, my friend!
Alyssa good morning, your post is very good, I just wanted to make an observation in case it takes off, it may have good prices, but it is terrible at solving problems, SAC is always unavailable, it changes flights and only gives one option, if you do a little research On the internet you will see that there are many complaints about despegar.com and no solutions.
Hi, Gilberto! I'll update the post with this information, you weren't the first to make this comment! Thanks for your opinion <3
I know a good and cheap promo ticket
It's really great 🙂
Great Information
I'm glad you liked it 🙂
Hello, I really liked the article, I look forward to new tips and cheap tickets on sale.
Congratulations on the website.
Glad you liked it 🙂
On “promo tickets” I’ve already bought tickets at great prices too 🙂
I'm about to update this list with promotional tickets, thanks for reminding me!
Alyssa, do you know the Air Projects agency, which sells tickets through Skyscanner? Thank you and congratulations for the work
I don't know!! But if you search Google you should be able to find some reviews 🙂
Our Alyssa, how did you get these values for THAILAND? … I'm going next year, and I can only find it for 3,5000 to 40000… I'll look for more then lol… kisses, congratulations on the post!

Hi Diana!
So, it was a really great promotion! Now that the dollar has fallen, prices should drop a little... At the time, Etihad was still operating in Brazil and that also made prices a little better, it's a matter of luck really... It was also during the low season, which helps haahhaa
Hello! I loved the post! Congratulations.
I use all these apps but on Skyscanner it goes to the air projects website as the cheapest ticket in January, I would like to know if you have already purchased from them, there is a forum on the best destinations that people talk about very well. What would be your opinion? Kisses and thank you
Hi Tamiris! I've never purchased from them, but I believe that SkyScanner only recommends reliable companies! If people on the Best Destinations forum are recommending it, I would buy it! 🙂 Kisses!
After researching for 2 weeks, reading on forums, looking for complaints and calling the company, I decided to take a chance. I bought the GRU – MIA sections (round trip) for 2 people for $502 per person, including taxes and converting into reais was R$1.698,00 per person.
After purchasing, in less than 2 minutes I received the purchase confirmation and more or less 2 hours later the information with the tickets. Not satisfied, I called Avianca who immediately sent me information about confirmed tickets.
So far so good.
In short, savings of a little over a thousand reais and I have no doubt that I will use the services again.
Abs
Hi Felipe! On which website did you buy the tickets? You forgot to mention! 🙂
Alyssa, I ended up finding your website when searching on Pinterest!
Then looking at the sites you recommended, I discovered that Momondo has cashback through Méliuz! Right now, there is 10% cashback, but this varies... It can be an advantage, because you buy and then receive it back in your checking account!
If you want to register with my code, I win and whoever registers too…

Hi Anna! Great tip to save even more when buying tickets 🙂
Hi Alyssa, how are you? I do a lot of research too, but I missed two interesting sites, Almundo and Edreams, where I've been making comparisons and they have good recommendations. Thanks Hugs Gilberto Dias
Hi, Gilberto! Great tips, I'm about to update this post and include other sites! kisses
The tip for saving on tickets is fantastic. Thanks
